Caring for Your Pottery

All of the pottery is microwave, oven and dishwasher safe.  The stoneware is high-fired, very durable,  and glazes are lead free. It will last indefinitely with proper care.

Glaze is usually acid resistant, but is affected by sudden changes in temperature. Casseroles and baking dishes should be brought up to temperature in the oven. Teapots, large serving bowls and casseroles to be used as serving pieces should be tempered with hot tap water before boiling water or hot food is placed in them. Always avoid sudden temperature changes and never place a piece directly on top of a burner or open flame. Pottery or earthenware conducts heat slowly and evenly, retaining heat well. Pottery and earthenware should be protected from harsh abrasives and heavy blows.

If these simple rules are followed, your piece will give years of satisfaction.
